As part of her third day of activities in Beijing, the Executive Vice President and Minister of People’s Power of Oil of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, met this Friday with Dai Houliang, president of the National Petroleum Corporation of China (CNPC). During the meeting, both leaders discussed strategic alliances between their countries and reaffirmed their commitment as reliable partners in mutual development.
Rodríguez and Houliang highlighted the growth of binational exchange, which has increased by 55% in recent months compared to the previous year. In this context, they discussed cooperation in the energy sector, which includes investment in product production and trade as well as technological services.
The Vice President also emphasized the importance of creating a safe environment for investment, despite unilateral coercive measures imposed by the U.S. and Europe.
CNPC, one of the world’s leading oil companies with operations in more than 30 countries, is active in a variety of areas ranging from hydrocarbon exploration and production to refining and financial services.
Rodríguez, on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, participated in the 38th OPEC and non-OPEC Ministerial Meeting, where actions were agreed upon to preserve the stability of the international oil market.
